Detecting potential Covid-19 outbreaks from campus wastewater

When I began my graduate studies at UTK, I initially planned to focus on Arctic research. However, due to unforeseen circumstances related to the pandemic, my research trajectory shifted. I instead became involved in a timely project analyzing RNA samples from campus groundwater to detect potential COVID-19 outbreaks.
During this time, I collaborated with Dr. Hazen’s lab team to analyze RNA samples from campus groundwater, aiming to detect potential COVID-19 outbreaks on the UTK campus.
